How Aussie Tax Genius Works
Generating a fully ATO-compliant tax invoice takes less than 30 seconds. Here’s exactly what happens when you use Aussie Tax Genius.
Step 1 — Describe Your Job (or Fill the Form)
You have two options. Either type a plain English description of the work you did — for example: “Repaired roof at 12 Smith St for ABC Constructions, 6 hours labour at $95/hr plus materials $240 including GST” — and our AI will extract every detail automatically. Or simply fill in the standard invoice form fields yourself.
Step 2 — AI Fills the Invoice
Our AI, powered by Anthropic’s Claude, reads your description and populates:
- Line items with descriptions, quantities, and unit prices
- GST calculation (10%) — correctly applied per ATO rules
- GST-free items flagged automatically (food, medical, education)
- Subtotal, GST amount, and total payable
- Invoice date and a unique invoice number
Step 3 — ABN Lookup & Validation
Enter your ABN and we verify it instantly against the Australian Business Register (ABR). Your business name auto-fills from the ABR database — no typing required. For invoices over $1,000, your client’s ABN is also validated.
Step 4 — Preview & Download or Send
Preview your ATO-compliant tax invoice before finalising. Then either:
- Download as PDF — ready to attach to an email or print
- Send by email (Pro plan) — enter your client’s email and we send it directly with a professional template
- Share a payment link (Pro plan) — clients can pay online via Stripe
